Stacy Searcy | Artist

Stacy Searcy began making art as a young girl in Cincinnati, Ohio and continued her interest in the subject through high school, excelling in fine arts courses. As an undergraduate, Stacy pursued a double major, focusing on Interior Design and Fine Art. Bachelor’s degree in hand, Stacy secured gainful employment at an architectural firm in Chicago, Illinois. After many years honing her design skills, Stacy realized a desire to supplement her practical knowledge with her passion for fine art. The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago provided the impetus to reconnect with an artistic lifestyle and Stacy successfully completed the program in one year. Eager to continue her education, Stacy entered the Master of Fine Arts program at the University of Cincinnati from which she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2007. Stacy has a penchant for travel and has proudly set foot on 4 out of 7 continents. She is a scholar of the ancient Inka culture and has hiked the Inka trail to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Stacy currently lives and works in Chicago, Illinois.
