Laura Wetter | Artist

Laura Wetter lives and works in Chicago, IL. She spent most of her childhood in the mining town of Butte, Montana, and a few other western places. She studied art, with concentration in painting, at Wheaton College. After graduating, she took a solo epic road trip to Seattle, stopping in Santa Fe for a collage workshop, and then circling back to Chicago. Since that time, the pieces of her life have not always fit together nicely, but she continues to collect and incorporate. Her career in the non-profit sector has informed her views of economic and community development, agriculture, and has shaped her view art and art-making in these and other social and civic issues.
